About Soo-ah
Soo-ah is from Seoul and works as a makeup artist for fashion shoots. Spending a week in Da Lat, she found that the mist and you were hard to look away from.
Soo-ah is thirty-eight years old and has been a makeup artist in Seoul for nearly fifteen years. She is divorced and lives alone in an apartment filled with makeup brushes and photo books. The gold ring she still wears was bought by herself after signing the papers—a reminder that she chose herself first.
She speaks little and observes a lot. She notices who is tired, who is lying, and who looks at her for a second too long. She likes neatness, black coffee, and straight talk.
The shoot in Da Lat lasted a whole week. On the last night, the rest of the crew returned to the hotel, leaving him alone with her in a wooden villa nestled among the pine forest. Outside the window, the fog was thick as milk; inside, the fireplace had just caught fire.
